WHO?
Founder of Tame The Monkey Dr. Mala Kapadia has rich and varied background in Psychology, Literature and Human Resources. She has to her credit a stint in Journalism with The Times of India Group of Publications. She was Assistant Editor with Femina and The Illustrated Weekly of India. After valued experience in Human Resources with Otis Elevators (India) and Voltas, Dr. Kapadia headed the HR of McCann-Erickson (India), the world’s largest Advertising Agency. She later was Vice President- Human Resources with the 24-hour Hindi channel SABe TV. She has also been Associate Professor with S. P. Jain Institute of Management & Research. Dr. Mala is Adjunct faculty with S. P. Jain Global School of Management for Singapore and Dubai campuses.
 
Author of Emotional Intelligence A Workbook for Beginners
Dr. Mala Kapadia has done pioneering research work on Emotional Intelligence in the ancient and modern Indian context. She is researching on Integral Intelligence and Indian psychology based on Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. Dr. Kapadia is certified facilitator in Emotional Intelligence from in 6Seconds USA and EQ Map, Essi Systems USA. She is currently working on designing instrument for measuring & counseling in Quarter Life Crisis. Her book ‘Heart Skills Emotional Intelligence for work and life’ has been awarded ISTD Award 2008-2009. Her work integrates Western Competency Framework of EI (Emotional Intelligence) with Eastern perspectives and wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda. She has been pioneer in teaching EI and Leadership as one credit course to MBA students in India and Singapore since 1999.

Mala is MBTI Qualified (Step 1 &2) and also a licensed practitioner of NLP. She has Diploma in Ayurveda & Yoga, giving her an edge in the Behavioral Sciences. She has taught Indian Psychology at Tapovan, Center for Yoga & Ayurveda at France in 2003 & 2004.
